Day 1: Arrive Amritsar
On arrival in Amritsar, meet our representative and get transferred to the hotel Check in hotel. Later, leave the blessings of Golden Temple the most important Sikh shrine which is also called Mecca of the Sikhs and is a living symbol of the spiritual gurus. Panoramic view of the holiest place in the city. The old markets are also in the vicinity where one can go for shopping and other activities. Visit the night food streets in the old city for true Punjabi food and taste.
Day 2: Amritsar and Wagah Border
Get up early in the night to visit the Holy Shrine of Shri Harmandir Sahib where activities start at 2.00 am in the night. Return to Hotel at day break and have breakfast. Then visit Jallianwala Bagh where, on April 13, 1919, British and Gurkha soldiers opened fire on an unarmed gathering, killing hundreds of civilians. Evening visit Indo-Pak Border Post atWagah, an army outpost on Indo-Pak border 30 kms from Amritsar where the daily highlight is the evening "Beating the Retreat" ceremony. Overnight stay at Amritsar hotel.
Day 3: Amritsar to Gurdaspur
After breakfast Drive to Gurdaspur transfered to the Chhota Ghallughara memorial, at village Kahnuwan in Gurdaspur District, set up by the State Government of Punjab in memory of 15000 Sikhs who were massacred by the Mughal forces. After return in the afternoon/evening, visit Bhagwan Valmik Tirath Sthal (Ram Tirath), at a distance of 20 kms from the city centre, Amritsar. It also has a similar sarovar on the lines of Shri Harmandir Sahib and the background says that after Shri Ram turned Sita out, she stayed here and gave birth to her sons Luv and Kush. Return to Hotel
Day 4: Amritsar to Jalandhar and Kapurthala
After breakfast morning drive to the Jang-e-Azadi memorial at Kartarpur nearly 70 kms away on the Amritsar- Jalandhar highway.On the way back visit the Pushpa Gujral Science City at Kapurthala which is an experience of a lifetime. The science city is built on the lines of Shri Krishna Planetarium, Kurukshetra Haryana, where children can learn the basics of science.
Day 5: Amritsar City
Visit the Heritage Village for a closer look at the culture and heritage of Punjab in the beautiful village created by the State Government. Then visit the War Memorial being built by the State Government in an area of 8 acres to commemorate the valiant soldiers. In the evening visit can be made to the Durgiana Temple, a temple which is built on the similar lines to the Shri Harmandir Sahib.
Day 6: Amritsar City
After breakfast proceed to the Gobindgarh Fort to have a look at the majestic monument built by Maharaja Ranjit Singh Ji. . It is being developed as a Museum by the State Government while keeping the old look of the Monument intact. Local sightseeing and other old monuments within the city can also be planned for a visit. Night at hotel.
Day 7: Goindwal Sahib
After breakfast drive to Goindwal Sahib (10 km from Khadur Sahib), visit Gurdwara Shri Baoli Sahib. This was the first centre of Sikhism and was established by Sri Guru Amar Das Ji. Understanding this, Sri Guru Amar Das Ji purchased the land and personally helped in the construction of the Gurdwara and Baoli (well) with 84 steps leading down to it.
Day 8: Departure
Transfer to Railway station to board train for onward journey.
